When people hear “support,” they sometimes imagine rules, pressure, or judgment.

That is not what support looks like at Jacob’s Hope.

Here, support means being seen, heard, and respected—while you and your baby receive care designed for healing.

Caring for Baby and Mom

Our Family Support Program is built around a simple truth: caring for your baby also means caring for you.

For babies, we provide:

  • 24-hour specialized medical care in a calm, nurturing environment

  • The Eat, Sleep, and Console care model, focused on comfort, bonding, and gentle support

  • Observation and treatment for withdrawal when needed, without labeling or blame

Babies are not born addicted. Some experience withdrawal, which is a medical condition that can be treated with proper care. Every baby is different, and many only need extra comfort and time.

For moms and families, we offer:

  • Hope Notes courses for expectant parents, including education about NAS and reassurance during pregnancy

  • Parenting classes focused on confidence, not criticism

  • Referrals and partnerships for housing, treatment, MAT, recovery programs, and OB care

  • Help navigating DCS case plans with advocacy and guidance

  • Room-in suites so parents or caregivers can stay with their baby

Moms are encouraged to be involved in their baby’s care every step of the way.

Common Questions — Answered Honestly

Will I automatically lose my baby if I ask for help?
No. Every situation is different, and it is not automatic. Jacob’s Hope helps you understand the process, your rights, and possible outcomes. Many babies are discharged to their families when moms are engaged in care.

Is it safe to be on MAT during pregnancy?
Yes. Medically assisted treatment is evidence-based and considered the standard of care for opioid use disorder during pregnancy.

What if I’m scared or unsure?
That’s okay. You don’t need to be brave all the time. You only need to take the first step.

Support does not come with conditions. It comes with compassion.
