New Room-In Option Now Available!
With a deep commitment to providing the Eat, Sleep, and Console (ESC) program, we have transformed our facility to better support families during a critical point in their lives.
The renovations bring a new era of care and comfort for families and their newborns. We believe that these renovations will not only enhance the overall experience for mothers and their newborns but will also contribute to the well-being of the entire family during this pivotal time.
What Is Eat, Sleep, and Console (ESC?
Eat, Sleep, and Console (ESC) is a modern, family-centered approach to caring for infants with Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome (NAS). It starts with non-pharmaceutical methods of caring for the baby including feeding them on demand, consoling them when they are irritable and letting them sleep in between feeding as much as possible. This care model works best in environments such as Jacob’s Hope because of our low staffing ratios, room-in nurseries, and calm environment for care.
Phase One Renovations Complete
We have successfully revamped Jacob’s Hope to include three beautifully renovated room-in options for mothers, fathers, and caregivers. The renovations bring a new era of care and comfort for families and their newborns. We believe that these renovations will not only enhance the overall experience for mothers and their newborns but will also contribute to the well-being of the entire family during this pivotal time.
What This Means For Jacob’s Hope
This transformative step is a testament to our ongoing dedication to improving maternal and neonatal care in our community. We are committed to providing a warm, welcoming, and safe environment for mothers with substance use disorder (SUD) to care for their newborn, starting with non-pharmacologic methods. The renovation makes it possible.
